The other ratings are right the store has limited space to shop, they offer no discounts. They do not negotiate prices, and they offer prices that you could get anywhere else for a less expensive product
I stopped by today to window shop for a new stroller. The new owner was very helpful and let my son and I test drive the Uppababy G-Luxe (he loved it). I didn't feel any pressure to buy and noticed that the store is much better organized and 100% cleaner than when I shopped last year.
The new ownership here is fantastic. The store has a large selection of cribs, dressers, strollers etc. The owner is knowledgeable and up to date on her product lines and was very helpful and not pushey. Payment arrangements were easily made and the order process was smooth. We had a crib and dreser delivered and setup for a reasonable fee. The owner delivered it himself with help of a respectful young man and they were very courteous, neat and fast. I wish every family owned business was as great as Chapin Baby!
Don't let the appearance of the store dissuade you from doing business here. The quality of the furniture is really high quality and a huge variety. It gets delivered and set up as well.
This store is being remodeled and will be open in the next few weeks under new ownership, new owners told me that all the furniture on display is new and goes with current style/trend, looking forward to checking them out when they open.
