I scheduled to have my rental brought to me at the repair shop at 8 am. At 8:12 I started calling but no one answered the phone until 8:17. They had somehow forgotten and said they would send someone right out. At 8:33 someone arrived and I went to hand him my license and was informed that he was instructed to bring me to the Boston Rd store in Springfield! The whole process was not done until 9:30. When I had scheduled my rental I asked if I could reasonably expect to make it to work by 8:30 with a 15 minute commute and was told yes. The worst part was seeing all the other auto body customers who scheduled with other rental car businesses happily leaving in their rental cars quickly after dropping off their cars. On a side note all of the employees I worked with were very friendly.
When I called to find out where to pick up the car (because the location noted on my reservations was not the right location) I was told the car I reserved was not available. After talking to the rep and wanting to speak to a manager, all the sudden the car was magically available. Then the price they gave me at pick up was way higher than the online reservation price - but they did honor my reservation price. Picking up the car was a very long process. the car was not really cleaned, didn't look like it was even vacuumed - but it served its purpose. The return process was very easy and simple and straightforward. The website needs to be updated...especially since the location that was noted on the website is not where I had to go pick up the car. I had to call to find where to pick up the car, after driving around in circles searching for the address indicated. Customer service was ok during the pick up, it was very good when returning the car.
This time we rented the car due to an emergency with our car. And, as always the Hertz staff worked so fast with all the paperwork. Specially thanks to Adriana, you rock.
I've rented here twice with no issue. The office is shared with another company so sometimes it seems like they have staff doing nothing but I think it's non-Hertz workers. Nerves charged extra. No problems. Good cars.
They always have my rental agreement ready when I arrive for pickup, I never had a problem with this location. When I needed a large SUV; this Hertz location did not disappoint. The vehicles I get are well cleaned and presentable.
